The Raised Hitch Mounted Carrier uses the same 3-step receiver hitch mounting system as the straight version, with an additional 8 inches of rise built into the frame. That extra height keeps your cart — and all the gear loaded on it — well clear of the ground even on lower-clearance vehicles, speed bumps, and beach access ramps.
If the straight carrier sits too close to the ground with your vehicle and loaded cart, the raised version is the right choice.
Best for: SUVs, crossovers, minivans, and any vehicle where additional ground clearance between the hitch mount and the pavement is needed. Also a good pick if you're carrying a fully-loaded, heavier cart.
