Built from 1.5" X 1/8" 6061 aluminum angle with a solid step, the 52" Standard Spike sets firmly in shell, hard-packed or dry sand, wet sand, compact dirt, and just about anything in between. If the ground is firm enough to stand on, this spike is firm enough to hold your rod.
At 52" total length, it gives your rod the clearance it needs to keep your line off the surf and your tip above wave wash. The solid step lets you drive it in with your foot — no mallet needed.
